First Baptist Church of Halls

The HALLS of First Baptist Church are vitally important.  It helps us keep our focus.  It helps us monitor our health.  Most importantly, it keeps us moving forward.

We believe that God’s Word clearly demonstrates what a healthy and growing church looks like.  Perhaps the most important scripture is found in Acts 2:42-47…

⁴²And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. ⁴³And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. ⁴⁴And all who believed were together and had all things in common. ⁴⁵And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. ⁴⁶And day by day,attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, ⁴⁷praising God andhaving favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

What are the HALLS of First Baptist Church?

Harmony – Music is enhanced when different notes blend in   harmony. We are all different   people from different backgrounds, but we seek to harmonize those differences into a strong body of believers who love one another.

Adoration – Loving God is the most important thing in life and we seek to demonstrate this love through God-honoring worship.

Learning – As we seek to follow Christ, we set our feet on a path of lifelong scriptural learning and discipleship.

Loving – As we love others, we seek to introduce them to a relationship with the one who loves them best – Jesus.

Serving – God has given every believer gifts and talents to be used to build up the Kingdom of God. We seek to help believers find their place of service.

We are not content to simply sit in church, but we let our love be heard through our actions.  We grow stronger in our faith by digging deeper into the Word of God.  We also seek to be constantly engaged in sharing the hope that we have with those around us…with hope and a heart for Halls.
